Samuel leaned forward, voice lowering. “This is it,” he said. “Everything could start moving now.”

Sasha stiffened.

He kept talking, filling the room with intensity, connecting possibilities faster than certainty allowed. By the time he stopped, Nathan was watching both of them with wide eyes.

No peace had come from the conversation.

Only adrenaline.

And spiritual alertness was not the same thing as spiritual balance.
