Its own.

The realization moved through Samuel with overwhelming force—not terror, not even mere relief, but vindication. The nations had not cornered helpless people. They had reached upward against the rule of Christ.

And now heaven was answering.

The city outside seemed to shudder under the weight of what was arriving. Searchlights failed. Commands were lost in the roar. Men who had entered neighborhoods with badges, weapons, and certainty were suddenly as small as every other human being under the presence of divine power.

Nathan buried his face against Sasha for one heartbeat, then looked again. Fear was still in him, but something stronger was beside it now.

Hope.

Not vague hope.

Seen hope.

Samuel closed his eyes briefly and whispered a prayer of thanks. When he opened them again, the room around him no longer felt like a place of defeat. It felt like the last chamber before deliverance.

No one there knew exactly how the next moments would unfold.
